Our Story...

Atherton Pre-School Day Care started life as a play group organised by a voluntary association in 1966 based in Formby Hall, known then as 'Atherton Play Group'.

In 1986, we moved to Central Methodist Church on High Street, Atherton. 

In 1997 we changed our name to 'Atherton Pre-School Day Care', 15 years later in 2012 we moved from Central Methodist Church to The Community Centre on Dorset Road, Atherton, this has been our location ever since.

Although many things have changed over the years, the one thing that hasn't changed is that we are responsive to the needs of our children and their families.
